Boston Suspect Photo: High-Res Image Found On Reddit is Genuine

Impact

The New York Times has confirmed that the image posted earlier Thursday night which appears to show one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon terrorist attacks fleeing the scene of the crime is genuine.

The man in the white hat seen rounding the corner is a suspect in the incident. It is currently believed he planted one of the pressure cooker bombs that detonated near the finish line of the race.

According to David Green, 49, he took the photo at the corner of Boylston and Fairfield Streets at 2:50:15 p.m. before running to assist the wounded.

"I have spoken to several [FBI] agents," Mr. Green said, "and they have got the photos, they are picking up material from me, and I don’t think there’s any doubt."

The full resolution photo can be found here.

Both suspects remain at large and are considered armed and extremely dangerous. Anyone with any information concerning either of the suspects implicated by the FBI should follow Mr. Green's example and contact law enforcement immediately.
