MIT Shooting Linked to Ongoing Boston Marathon Bomber Search

Violence that erupted on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts appears to be linked to the ongoing search in Watertown for the Boston Marathon terrorist attack suspects.

Reports say that a massive gunfight followed a 10:30 p.m. robbery of a 7/11 in Cambridge that then led to the death of an MIT police officer. Suspects hijacked a vehicle into Watertown, where the two suspects engaged Watertown police officers and an MBTA officer with gunfire and explosives. One suspect has been disabled, as well as the MBTA officer, who is in critical condition at a local hospital.

One suspect remains at large.
