Red Sox, Bruins Games Postponed As Boston in Lockdown

Impact

The Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins have postponed their games in Boston on Friday night, as the search for 19 year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev continues in the Boston area. The Red Sox were scheduled to host the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park in Kenmore Square, not far from where two bombs exploded near the finish line.

The Bruins also postponed their game at TD Garden against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday at 12:30 PM. However, it remains to be seen whether Tsarnaev will be found before then. The entire city of Boston and the neighboring town of Watertown remain on virtual lockdown, as police go door-to-door in search of Tsarnaev, who along with his deceased brother Tamerlan, is suspected of carrying out Monday's attack on the Boston Marathon.

The Bruins announced that the team would postpone the sale of playoff tickets, which were scheduled to commence on Friday at 11 AM, will be pushed back to 11 AM on Monday.
