New York Jets Draft Pick: Sheldon Richardson, Missouri, Defensive Tackle

Sheldon Richardson

Defensive Tackle from Mizzou

The Jets don't seem interested in addressing their putrid offense in this draft. With that being said, Richardson was a difference maker at DT this season. It's very difficult for a DT to make a big impact on the college level with so many spread offenses ignoring the A gap, but Richardson was the only one making plays for Mizzou this year. Jets fans may panic and link Richardson to Dewayne Robertson, the Jets pick from UK in 2003, but that's an overreaction. This is a Rex Ryan pick and he now has a young and ultra talented defensive line.
