'The Great Gatsby' Movie: A Side By Side Comparison Of the 1974 Cast and 2013 Cast

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby tells the tale of a tangled web of love, lies, and liquor in the roaring 20s. Since the book came out in 1925, there have been several filmed versions of the story. This year's art deco extravaganza directed by Baz Lurhmann, opening in the United States on May 10, is the first big Hollywood project of the tale since 1974.

Before you take a step back into the 1920s to learn the story of Gatsby, see how this year's crop of actors stack up against their 1974 predecessors.
