'Brews With Rob Portman' Event Coverage By PolicyMic's Molly Spaeth

On Monday evening, social news site BuzzFeed will hold a "Brews With Senator Portman" event in Washington, D.C.

The event will see BuzzFeed's Washington Bureau Chief John Stanton interview Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) about "how to make issues like tax reform and the deficit something that the kids on Twitter will actually notice, the changing Republican party, immigration reform, Syria, his evolution on gay rights and more."

BuzzFeed will livestream BuzzFeed Brews on YouTube, and attendees and viewers are encouraged to live tweet, give commentary or ask questions using #buzzfeedbrews on Twitter.

PolicyMic's own policy expert Molly Spaeth will be a special guest at the event, providing live Tweets on Portman's interview. She will be accompanied by fellow Pundit Mark Kogan

Portman will speak @ 6:30 p.m. EST.

Will he address how his evolution on same-sex marriage cost him GOP support? Or comment on his recent vote on gun control? Does anyone on Twitter really care about the deficit? (Probably, but who knows.)
