U.S. Representative Steve Stockman (R-Texas) is holding a little contest on his website. The promotional hook reads as followed:
"Enter the drawing to win a FREE Bushmaster AR-15 rifle, almost impossible to find in stores and the number one firearm on the gun banners' wish list! Winner drawn July 4, 2013."
And honestly, this makes me feel as if I've entered a horrifying twilight zone where once again, I hoped this was satire and not an actual thing. As I'll say time and time again, I personally don't see the appeal of guns and now I'm deeply concerned as to why politicians are trying to cater to the gun lobby with giveaways. Isn't verbal support enough? What if, (goodness forbid) this gun gets into the hands of the wrong person? Needless to say, I'm not all aboard for this in the least. But, this post is also open for discussion. Share what you think about this stunt.
