Google I/O Announcement LIVE: Updates Of Google Developers Conference

Culture

The Google I/O developers conference is happening on Wednesday, and like in years past it is set to announce a series of (pretty cool) new software and hardware products. True to Google form, some of these announcements could be critical tools many of Google's 1 billion unique visitors per month use.

During the 3-hour long (ugh) keynote, which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. PT, the company is expected to talk about everything from its Android operating system to Google Maps to its Google Plus social network.

It appears that Google has a set of new products up its sleeve.

At last year’s conference, Google released the Nexus 7 tablet. According to 9to5Google, the company will update the $199 Android tablet on Wednesday with a higher-resolution screen.

The company is also said to be planning to detail revisions to its Google Maps and Plus products.
