Apple CEO Tim Cook will face a barrage of questions over his company's billion-dollar tax dodging strategy. 

The hearings are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET in Room 1o6 of the Dirkson Senate Office Building.

Apple on Tuesday released a statement [PDF] ahead of Apple CEO Tim Cook, CFO Peter Oppenheimer, and head of tax operations Phillip A. Bullock's appearances in front of the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigation tomorrow.

Last year, a New York Times report described how Apple uses subsidiaries in countries with lower taxes including Ireland and the Netherlands to cut its tax bill.
