Apple Tax Expert Testimony: McCain Pulls No Punches With Apple, Saying They Violated "the Spirit of the Law"

Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) went straight for the jugular, making the claim that Apple’s tax policy reflected a system that fundamentally disadvantaged domestic businesses over multinational corporations.

McCain described again the Apple tax system, noting how Apple divided the world into two parts in order to take advantage of tax loopholes

McCain made the strong statement that Apple “has violated the spirit of the law if not the letter of the law.” He did not leave Congress out of the blame, saying that they should take action on these tax loopholes.
