Sarah Palin Fox News: She's Back!

She's back!

Fox News announced on Thursday that Sarah Palin will rejoin the network as a paid contributor, the same position she was first hired for in 2010. She left Fox News earlier this year, being forced out of her $1-million-a-year deal because of poor ratings and a diminishing relevance.

Palin served as the ninth Governor of Alaska from 2006 to 2009, and was the Republican nominee for vice president in 2008.

It's hard to imagine what Fox News sees in Palin, who was known during her first stint at the network for adding little to the conversation and instead repeating that Obama is a socialist. Further, with the rise of now retired Rep. Michelle Bachmann in the Tea Party, Palin's theatrical star power is far from what it used to be.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes, however, is more optimistic: "I've had several conversations with Governor Palin in the past few weeks about her rejoining FOX News as a contributor. I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind."

According to a Fox News press release, Palin will contribute to both Fox News and the Fox Business Network, and will make her first appearance on Monday's "Fox & Friends."

For all of us who had successfully forgotten Sarah Palin, here’s a refreshing "best of":
