Anchorman 2 Trailer YouTube: Watch the Full Length Trailer Here

Last March, Will Ferrell announced the sequel of fan-favorite comedy Anchorman during a guest appearance on Conan. After months of eagerly awaiting more details, our wishes have been granted. The official full length trailer of Anchorman 2: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is here.

There is always reason to be skeptical of comedy sequels (just take a look at the failed legacy of The Hangover), but based on the teaser, Will Ferrel's return will be loaded with all of the wildly inappropriate, ludicrous moments that we've been missing since his protagonist graced the silver screen nine years ago in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Ladies and gentlemen: Ferrell and co. are at it again.

Here's what we know from the trailer: When Burgundy receives an offer to host a new, 24-hour news channel, he (obviously) accepts the challenge: "I’m gonna do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this earth to do – have salon quality hair and read the news," Farrell responds. And so it begins.

The sequel will take the San Diego news crew out of San Francisco and place them in New York City in the 1980s. Here's what we don't know: where the heck the rest of the 1:43 minute trailer takes us. It's a plot destined for chaos, but it certainly offers us a peek at all the crude, outlandish, and laugh-out-loud humor included in its predecessor.

Not to mention the cast looks too good to be true. Joining Ferrell, David Koechner, Paul Rudd, Vince Vaughn, Steve Carell, Luke Wilson, Nicole Kidman, and Christina Appelgate, fans can expect to see appearances by Kristen Wiig, Jim Carrey, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman, James Marsden, Sacha Baron Cohen, Liam Neeson, and Harrison Ford. Kanye West has even been reported to play God ...

And best of all ... Baxter the dog is back. The sequel has big shoes to fill, but, as Ron Burgundy would tell you of the trailer, “don’t act like you’re not impressed.”

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is scheduled for release on December 20.
