SCOTUS Live Blog: Making Judicial Opinions Interesting Since 2002

Impact

The Supreme Court, our nation's judicial arbitrator, rarely get much time in the lime light. To be fair, the justices release but a few opinions a year.  And most of them -- which you nor I have probably ever heard of -- don't hit national headlines. So it is surprising that the total daily views at SCOTUSblog, a blog dedicated solely to Supreme Court coverage, can spike as high as 500,000.

The site is comprehensive. Writers release and discuss court opinions in real time. And oftentimes, SCOTUSblog reveals an opinion far before our 24-hr news outlets do. For anyone interested in the intricacies of the cases, the blog also provides the transcripts to all the Court's opinions.

Stay tuned today and next week for these important opinions:

Affirmative Action, Defense of Marriage Act, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965
