Scotusblog Livestream: Real-Time Updates Can Be Found Here

Impact

As June and the current Supreme Court term come to a close, opinions on Affirmative Action and the Voting Rights Act also draw near. Many believe the justices will released these historically significant cases this morning.

Though Monday is actually the Court's last official day of the term, the Court are expected to add days to their session until all opinions are released.

Just to recap the cases:

Voting Rights (Shelby County v. Holder)

Shelby County believe that Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act is unconstitutional. Section 5 allows that requires mostly-Southern states to request Justice Department approval before changing voting statuses.

Affirmative Action (Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin)

Fisher believes she was rejected for UT because of the university's AA preferences.
