Petition to Pardon Edward Snowden Receives Over 100,000 Signatures

Snowden supporters have banded together in an attempt to save Snowden, who has been officially charged with espionage, from being prosecuted.

Although the amount of signatures it has received qualifies it for a response from the White House, considering how the government has reacted to the Snowden case, this petition will almost certainly not have the intented effect. 

The petition, however, will serve as a reminder that beyond claims of Snowden being a traitor, there still exists a core group that believes he has done a service to the American public and is, in fact, a hero.
