2013 NBA Draft Rumors: Oklahoma City Thunder Moving Up?

Culture

ESPN's Andy Katz has been reporting all day that the Thunder are attempting to trade up to either #1 or #2 to select Maryland's Alex Len. If the Thunder fail to pull off the blockbuster deal, they'll still have a chance to take a big man with their pick at 12. Gonzaga's Kelly Olynyk is more of a stretch four, but his offensive game is far more advanced than Len's. Another interesting option for OKC would be the Brazilian big man Lucas Nogueira. Nogueira would give the Thunder a serious pick-and-roll threat and his high energy would mesh well with the Thunder's Serge Ibaka. The Thunder have two first round picks (12, 29) and young players like Perry Jones and Jeremy Lamb who could be involved in a potential trade tonight. I would be surprised if they stand pat all night long.
