Egypt Protest Live Stream: Thousands Gathering in Tahrir Square

Impact

The anti-Morsi protests that began on Sunday, show no signs of stopping. No one can confirm how many Egyptians have gathered in Tahrir Square, but the estimations go far into the millions. Today Egyptians are protesting against many of the same political issues they faced during Mubarak's rule. Unemployment is high. Gas and food prices are high. The economy is nowhere to be found. But added to Egyptians' grievances this time are President Morsi's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist group.

The Egyptian Army recently issued Morsi an ultimatum. Either he relinquish power, or they would depose him themselves. The deadline expired Wednesday 11 a.m. ET, but some reports suggest that a coup is already underway.
