Tell Us What You Know About PolicyMic's Next Hot Topic: Climate Change

Impact

In June, President Obama announced new plans, as detailed in this infographic to meet his pledge of a 17% reduction of America's greenhouse emissions by the year 2020, a set of strategies which have already met with mixed reviews. In his speech at Georgetown University, President Obama said, "I refuse to condemn your generation and future generations to a planet that’s beyond fixing.  And that’s why, today, I'm announcing a new national climate action plan, and I'm here to enlist your generation's help in keeping the United States of America a leader — a global leader — in the fight against climate change."

As the summer warms up, and the two hottest weeks of the year draw near, PolicyMic will host a special week of discussion from 7/21 - 7/26 on all things climate change-related. If you're a millennial interested in anything from energy policy to environmental science, I want your voice in the conversation!

PolicyMic is looking for a variety of short, 500 - 800 word op-eds for the site on these and other related issues. A number of prominent politicians, academics, celebrities, activists, and professionals in the field will be contributing to the site during the week to discuss and engage in direct dialogue with millennial men and women on these topics. If you have ideas for what we should cover, or who we should invite to join the discussion, email or Tweet at me: @sameier12

If you're interested in contributing, please email me (sam@policymic.com) by Monday, 7/15 at 5 P.M. EST.
