Malala Yousafzai UN Speech Live Stream: Taliban Cannot Keep Her Down

Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist is speaking at the UN this morning. She is an advocate for children's literacy. Malala grew up in Taliban-controlled area of Pakistan, where the Taliban authorities have banned education for all girls. In November 2012, a Taliban member entered Malala's school bus and shot her in the head because of her activism. She did not die, though. And after Malala was released from the hospital she hit the ground running again with her cause. Today, on her 16th birthday, Malala will not only give a speech to the UN, but present a petition to its members urging world leaders to provide education for all youth. Hear her speak here.
