PolicyMic is Seeking 5 Arts Fellows

Culture

The Culture section is looking for five PolicyMic Arts Fellows to participate in an exciting one-month writing fellowship. All work will be done remotely. 

Applicants should be enthusiastic young writers with deep interest in the topics of music, movies, television, books, or fine arts. You must have a background in the category you are applying for, and should be excited to deepen your knowledge within the field while writing engaging content that mirrors your expertise. Over the course of the one-month program, fellows will work closely with Culture editors Elena Sheppard and Julianne Ross to write smart, in-depth content focusing on their artistic specialty.

PolicyMic is the fastest growing news site for millennials, featuring 6+ million unique monthly readers and over 2,000 pundits across the world. We’re changing online media, and we’re looking for arts experts to join us.

What we are looking for:

- Five Fellows who are experts in their chosen field and eager to contribute insightful, unique commentary. The available fellowships are:

Music Fellow

- Fellows will write eight stories over the course of four weeks (two stories per week). These stories will include: reviews, interviews, original reporting, responses to big cultural happenings.

What you get in return:

- Fellows will receive detailed editorial feedback from Culture editors Elena Sheppard and Julianne Ross as well as guidance with story development, interview requests, and social media outreach.
