Emmy Predictions Lead Actress in a Comedy

We haven't touched on the comedy categories yet, but there are some incredibly impressive women nominated this year for Lead Actress. This year the nominees are:

Laura Dern, Englightened
Lena Dunham, Girls
Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie
Tina Fey, 30 Rock
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep
Amy Poehler, Parks and Recreation

The Emmy voters love Julia Louis-Dreyfus, she won last year for Veep, she won for Seinfeld, and she won for The New Adventures of Old Christine. That said, she's never won a second Emmy for any of her roles so a win on Sunday would be a milestone for her. There's also a scenario in which 30 Rock could do a comedy sweep and Tina Fey could take home the trophy, but I'm placing my bets on Louis-Dreyfus. So is our pundit Evan Almeida (our first time in agreement yet!).
