'The Colbert Report' Takes Home an Emmy For Writing

Another competitive category this time for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. All top notch shows with pretty hilarious introduction bits (writers!). The award was presented by Bob Newhart and Bill Parsons and the Emmy went to the team from The Colbert Report. Stephen Colbert accepted the award by thanking The Daily Show (gracious!). Other shows nominated were:
