The 30th annual Harbin Snow and Ice Festival kicked off on Jan. 5. The festival, which takes place in northeast China, draws crowds from around the world.

The 6.5 million square foot winter wonderland involves breathtaking ice sculptures and is expected to draw 1 million visitors.
