So the anticipated season finale of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finally arrived, with 33-year old back up singer Jermaine Paul from Harriman, N.Y., rising victorious among rivals Chris, Julian and Tony while host Carson Daly announced him as the winner and voice coaches Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera congratulated him.

Entertainment was in charge of Nashville, Tenn., country pop music pop group Lady Antebellum, and Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber who closed the show performing “Boyfriend,” the first single of his upcoming sophomore album “Believe.”

Paul, who was coached by country singer Blake Shelton, sung R&B singer R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly" for his Tuesday night’s winning performance and will receive a cash prize of $100,000 plus a record deal with Universal.

He also burst into tears when Daly announced him as the winner, emotionally thanking “everybody that supported me from day one” including his wife (who was in the audience) and children. Earlier in the competition Paul had become speechless when asked by the judges what would victory mean for him. "The world," he managed to say after a few seconds in which he couldn't articulate a word.

Juliet Simms who was coached by Cee Lo Green (infamous for his song “F**k You”) came in second place while Tony Luca mentored by Maroon 5’s Adam Levine was the third place holder, and pop diva Christina Aguilera-coached Chris Mann was the fourth runner up.
