What Channel Are the Olympics On? Where to Watch Sochi 2014

Impact

In America, NBC ... that's pretty much it. NBC, along with its affiliate networks NBCSN, MSNBC, CNBC and USA Network, will have exclusive rights to broadcasting the 2014 games — rights they purchased several years ago for something in the range of a cool $775 million.

From Feb. 6 to 23, NBCUniversal is looking to cover as much of the games as possible with a slated 1,539 hours of covered events. That time will be split across various platforms: NBC (185 hours), NBCSN (230), CNBC (36), MSNBC (45), USA Network (43) and NBCOlympics.com (1,000+).

Even though the online coverage (available at nbcolympics.com) is an easy 1,000 hour bump, that 1,539 figure is certainly impressive and is more than the coverage for Vancouver (835) and Torino (419) combined (1,254).

Other online outlets and sources will be available, including a dedicated YouTube Olympic channel, as well as a number of other options for more Internet-savvy users
