How Long Are the Oscars 2014?

Culture

The Oscars aren't exactly known for their brevity. The show's long—but exactly how long will it be this year?

The best bellwether of length for Sunday's show is the lengths of the past few Oscars. 2012's show was fairly short by Oscar standards, clocking in at 3 hours, 17 minutes. Last year's was a bit more indulgent, at 3 hours, 35 minutes.

It's fair to expect that this year, the show will stay within that range. If you're facing an early Monday morning, you'll likely be in bed before midnight—and still be able to enjoy some post–show coverage.
