Watch George W. Bush Do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Impact

If you've ever wanted to see George W. Bush get doused with cold water, today's your lucky day.

The 43rd president became the latest person in your Facebook feed to take the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of raising money for ALS research. The video opens with Bush explaining that he doesn't consider it presidential to have water poured on his head, so he's writing a check instead.

But then the twist! Former first lady Laura Bush appears from off-screen carrying a pretty sizable bucket full of water, dumping it on the seemingly unsuspecting former president.

Alas, no ice.

Mrs. Bush explains, "That check is from me. I don't want to ruin my hair style." (If you're not familiar, the rules of the Ice Bucket Challenge state that those who are challenged must either be soaked or donate money to ALS research. Preferably both -- over $31.5 million has been raised so far, with $8.6 million in donations made in one day alone.)

Bush ends the video by passing on the challenge to Bill Clinton, who now has 24 hours to respond.
