The 2012 Primetime Emmys Nomination announcement will take place on Thursday, July 19 at 8:40 a.m. ET. Nick Offerman, of Parks and Recreation, and Kerry Washington, the lead on Scandal, will present the announcement. A live stream of the announcements will be available here.

Predictions for this year's list of nominees have already been circling the web, and with this year's shows spanning the spectrum from Girls to Downton Abbey this year's television did not disappoint. Hopefully the awards will not either.

Last year, a priceless TV moment was captured during the nominee announcements when Mike and Molly star Melissa McCarthey, who was also hosting the announcements, found out she was nominated live on-air. History might repeat itself with Offerman, who is announcing the nominees but is also a potential nominee.

The 2012 Emmy Awards will air live Sunday, September 23 on ABC. The ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
