On Wednesday rapper Future announced dates for a nationwide tour that kicks off on Feb. 17 at the Orpheum Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin. During the Purple Reign Tour, Future will be joined by Los Angeles R&B star Ty Dolla Sign.

Future announced the tour with a promotional video published on YouTube:

According to a tweet from the rapper himself, ticket pre-sales begin Thursday. Fans hoping to score a pair can head here.

When news of the tour began to spread, Future fans went wild using the hashtag #PurpleReignTour:

Future released his debut album, Pluto, in 2012, followed by a sophomore effort in 2014 titled Honest. DS2, the rapper's most recent LP, dropped on July 17 and was jointly released by A1 Recordings, Freebandz and Epic Records. Fans can download DS2 on iTunes

The artist, an Atlanta native, is wholly aware about where he is in his career. "I'm just coming out, but if you go anywhere in the south, I get that love and respect like I have a catalog of LPs under my belt," Future told Freebandz. "My mixtapes have had a definitive impact, which is amazing and humbling at the same time."

And the proof of that career progress is visible in the stars that Future has collaborated with. In September, the artist collaborated with Canadian rapper Drake on a mixtape, What a Time to Be Alive.
