Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the special will air live on ABC starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, and the 38 performances will take place in both Los Angeles and in front of a jam-packed Times Square, according to ABC. The special is slated to run past 2 a.m.

Who will appear: At the Billboard Hollywood Party in Los Angeles, which is hosted by Fergie, One Direction, Fall Out Boy, Ellie Goulding and Walk the Moon are set to perform, ABC reported.

Fans of Taylor Swift should be on the lookout for the premiere of her music video for her song "Out of the Woods," off her hit album 1989, sometime during the special, USA Today reported.
