50 Shades of Grey Movie Cast: 25 Actors Under 25 Who Could Play Young Christian Grey

Speculation about the cast of the upcoming film version of E.L. James’ controversial novel Fifty Shades of Grey continues in full swing, as the fight for the coveted role of S&M billionaire business tycoon and philanthropist Christian Grey is down to a perfect trifecta formed by Gangster Squad’s Ryan Gosling, Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill and True Blood’s Aleksander Skarsgard. But, who will play young Christian Grey? (Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD).

One of the most important parts of the book is when Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel are discussing their domination/submission contract. Among other personal revelations, Grey tells Steel that he once was a submissive to an older woman (in fact, a friend of his mom) when he was a young student. While not a substantial part of the book, Grey’s BDSM origins are important as they offer a glimpse to the past of this complex character.

And though it is yet to be determined if the producers of the upcoming film will decide to shoot this particular flashback scene, one thing is clear: none of the grown up hunks who are being considered for the role is going to be able to play the once young and innocent Grey. Here’s a list of 25 actors under 25 who could do so:

1. Zac Efron:
