This Life-Sized 'Star Wars' AT-ST Walker Is the Ultimate Fan-Made Tribute

Impact

During the Battle of Endor in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, the Ewoks had the numbers, but the Empire had the brunt force of their All Terrain Scout Transport walkers and a slew of Stormtroopers on the ground. Yet, despite these odds — and because the good guys tend to win in the end — the Ewoks prevailed with some nature-themed trickery. That said, it's hard not to look at the Walkers and admire how awesome they looked. Apparently, too, how fun it would be to sit in one.

A person has built their own life-sized model of an AT-ST walker — presumably in their backyard — and it's pretty darn impressive from the videos provided by YouTuber Mr Kernish. Kernish isn't the one who built it; rather, he admired it from afar and eventually decided to ask the owner if he could take some videos of it. The owner, who has preferred to remain anonymous, agreed. Here's the result:

While the walker can't actually, well, walk, it does have movable cannons on its sides (though in the video, it doesn't blast anything, Ewoks or otherwise). According to the Verge, the mystery owner told Kernish that he mostly pulled specs of the walker online, and worked on it from there. All things considered, it's safe to say: the Force is strong in this one.
