Tom Daley Gay and Girlfriend Rumors: Diver Honored by Commemorative UK Mail Boxes

Olympic British diver Tom Daley continues to rack up honors in the United Kingdom in the wake of his bronze medal at the London 2012 Games. The UK's Royal Mail, the equivalent of the USPS, will unveil three commemorative mail boxes to be placed near the diver's hometown and training base in Plymouth -- according to This is Plymouth.

Daley has become Britain's answer to Justin Bieber, as the diver jumped from the London 2012 Olympic platforms into UK stardom to be seen signing books, participating in television programs and hanging out with the likes of David Beckham and One Direction. His celebrity status has also prompted endless speculation about his personal life, from who are the lucky girl(s) he dates to questions about his sexuality

Daley became popular in America when a tweet sent to him by a malicious online troll, blasting him for almost not qualifying for the London 2012 diving finals, was reported by international media. The tweet told Daley that he had disappointed his dad, who had recently passed of brain cancer, and was tagged with the homophobic slur #TeamHIV. Daley's mom, Debbie, fueled further speculation by stating the 18-year-old diver "never had a proper girlfriend."

However, Daley has been romantically linked to swimmer Kassidy Cook -- who attended the diver's Olympic competition (and tweeted about it) -- as well as to Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole who traded private and public Twitter messages with Daley. Recently, Transformers' Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also admitted having a crush on Daley.
