Drake Announces 'Views From the 6' One-Day Pop-Up Shop Surprise for New York City

Impact

As Drake's fans await the April 29 release of his highly anticipated summer album Views From the 6, the Canadian hitmaker surprised his neighbors in New York City Monday with a pop-up shop. The store will only be open for one day in the heart of Manhattan, doling out white merch T-shirts reading "Views."

Drake dropped the announcement on Twitter just two hours ahead of the 4 p.m. Eastern storefront opening, noting the pop-up shop is powered by Beats by Dre headphones. The tweet immediately went viral, receiving well over 7,000 retweets in under an hour. That might be because fans across the globe are waiting for Drake's next highly-anticipated album, clinging to any hope the rapper will drop a track early, or tease them with anything related to the project at all.

Drake might be learning from fellow artist Kanye West, who also opened up a New York City pop-up shop near the release of his latest album, The Life of Pablo.

Could this be a sneak peek?
