Prince Dead at 57: Celebrities and Fans React to Superstar's Death on Twitter

Legendary singer and songwriter Prince died Thursday, multiple sources associated with the artist told TMZ. The 57-year-old singer was found at his Paisley Park residence in suburban Minneapolis. A family member also confirmed the death, according to CNN.

A seven-time Grammy award-winner, Prince Rogers Nelson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A superstar whose career spanned over 30 years, the artist was known not only for selling over 100 million records, but also for his gaudy, flamboyant fashion sense and his influence on pop culture. 

Many entertainers, artists and stars of today looked up to Prince, who mastered multiple instruments during his career, and even starred in his own film, Purple Rain. Fans of the late "Sexy Dancer" artist, who was a cultural icon, expressed their thoughts on Twitter.
