Viral Video Shows a Man Sleeping Behind the Wheel — And His Tesla Driving Him Safely

The internet is freaking out over this guy sleepily drooling on his shoulder as his Tesla's autopilot slowly pulls his car through a traffic jam.  

Tesla's automated steering and "traffic aware" cruise control keep the car in its lane and moving along with traffic, but are in no way meant to serve as a substitute for a conscious human driver. 

The autopilot feature has served to give the awaiting public a taste of what it will be like to have our vehicles drive us. It's clear people are excited for the future of commutes.
