Social media inception occurred on Tuesday when selfie doyen Kim Kardashian West posted a Snapchat of her face swapping with the creator of the popular face-swap filter.
Kardashian West had the golden opportunity when she visited the Snapchat headquarters for a "really important meeting," aka getting some custom filters made after her.
It's unsurprising that Kardashian West fangirled when she saw the face-swap mastermind, since she and daughter North West have recently been avid users of it.
To commemorate Kardashian West's visit, the social media platform rolled out a Marilyn Monroe filter to coincide with what would have been Monroe's 90th birthday:
Another was a "Welcome to Snapchat, Kim" filter, which dotted the "i" in "Kim" with — what else — a peach emoji, commonly used to connote a butt.
In March, Kardashian West finally crossed the social media frontier of Snapchat — and has risen quickly to the top.
