Nice Bastille Day Attack Suspect's Name Reported as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel

The suspect in the Nice Bastille Day attack that killed at least 84 people and injured up to 100 has been identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel by local French media, the BBC reports. 

According to the Associated Press, French police officials found identity papers next to the driver of the truck, which fatally plowed through bodies as it sped and swerved down the Promenade des Anglais in the French Riviera city. 

The papers belonged to a "31-year-old Frenchman of Tunisian descent with previous misdemeanor convictions but no known link to extremist groups," according to the AP.
