Obama vs Romney Polls: as Obama Opens Lead in Swing States is Make or Break for Romney

Impact

Maybe the 47% gaffe is a blessing in disguise for Romney, or not. But, with less than 50 days to Election Day, the former CEO of Bain Capital needs to buckle up once and for all and give it all he's got to his last shot to defeat President Barack Obama -- after nearly squandering the opportunity to unseat an incumbent president with high unemployment, one gaffe at a time.

And though most national polls still show a close race between Obama and his Republican challenger, surveys in the swing states are starting to trend in favor of the president, despite an August dismal jobs report that showed the economy barely created 96,000 jobs that month.

So, if the Romney/Ryan ticket is to stand a chance against Obama/Biden in November 4, the former Governor of Massachusetts needs to put all the gaffes and media brouhaha behind -- all of it; the 47% silly remark, the "if I were Mexican" nonsense, etc. -- and focus on taking a final stand (and stick to it). It's buckle up time Mr. Governor and, judging by the following numbers, you have your work pretty much cut out for you:
