Ariana Grande releases her second MAC Viva Glam lipstick collaboration
In October 2015, Ariana Grande followed in the footsteps of fellow pop sensations Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Rihanna when she became MAC Cosmetics's latest Viva Glam spokesperson and released her very own dark plum lipstick.
And now, a little less than a year later, the 23-year-old "Into You" singer is back with a brand new matte shade and neutral gloss.
"Play it nice and charming in Ariana Grande's shimmering neutral mauve lipglass, or get fresh and cheeky in matte orchid pink lipstick," a press release reads. "Wear each shade alone, or layer together. Be a doll, and go glam."
In 1994, MAC launched the first Viva Glam lipstick with the help of drag queen RuPaul. Then and now, 100% of the proceeds of the Viva Glam lipsticks and lipglasses go to the MAC Aids Fund, an organization that works to address the link between poverty and HIV and AIDS.
"I am beyond honored and excited to be working with a brand that stands for and always has stood for equality," Grande said on Instagram when her first lipstick was announced last October. "I have loved & supported @maccosmetics ever since I was a little girl walking through the mall and saw your first #VivaGlam girl in the window @rupaulofficial. I'm so honored!"
And fans on Twitter seem just as excited about the new shade's upcoming launch.
Viva Glam Ariana Grande 2 lipstick and lipglass will be available online on MAC's website on Sept. 1 and in stores Sept. 8.
