Los Angeles is the city of dreams, where the streets are paved with gold and the tide pools are coated with gargantuan slugs.

In an episode of Beyond the Tide, Coyote Peterson and tide pool expert Aron Sanchez find a Black Sea Hare — the largest sea slug in the world — along the coast of San Pedro. The video has racked up almost 550,000 views in less than 24 hours.

"It's a pretty good size," Sanchez said as Peterson lifts the gargantuan sludge monster out of the tide.

"I could see why there's no way you would miss stumbling upon one of these," Peterson said. No shit. Look at it!
