Hillary Clinton is headed to a landslide win in California

The former secretary of state has consistently polled in the double-digits in the Golden State since she announced her run for president. According to a KABC/SurveyUSA poll released Sept. 29, Clinton leads Donald Trump by 26 points in California.

The presidential race in California

California has 55 electoral college votes, a big chunk of the 270 needed to win the White House. The state traditionally leans Democratic, so it's no surprise that Clinton is polling well there.

The latest poll was taken before a 2005 Access Hollywood videotape surfaced showing Trump and host Billy Bush talking about women in crude, vulgar terms. It was also taken before Clinton and Trump faced off in the second presidential debate.

Just last week, after the tape surfaced, former Republican California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he would not back Trump's candidacy.

FiveThirtyEight gives Clinton a 99.9% chance of winning California.
