October Apple Event: New MacBook Pro to be announced Oct. 27, 'Recode' reports
...And now we have a date. Recode reported Apple will hold an event Oct. 27, where the tech giant will likely introduce the new MacBook Pro.
The long-awaited update is rumored to feature a touchscreen OLED display at the top of the keyboard; a thinner, lighter body; and removed USB ports and MagSafe charging port in favor of the new USB-C standard.
It's possible we'll also see a new iMac and MacBook Air, Bloomberg has reported.
Anticipation for the MacBook Pro has been running high since the rumored computer was not announced at the September iPhone event. Another sign: Apple released the latest desktop operating system, macOS Sierra, in September without a new computer to feature it. Apple hasn't made substantial changes to the top-end laptop since 2012, the Verge noted.
