Who is leading in the polls, Clinton or Trump? Here are the latest figures

With the presidential election just four days away and both candidates hitting the campaign trail hard in crucial swing states this week, new polls on Friday give Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton a slightly bigger lead over her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, than she's had in the past few days.

What do the polls say?

Friday's ABC News/Washington Post poll gave Clinton a 3-point lead over Trump, calling it a "hint of momentum" for Clinton. In the latest RealClearPolitics four-way average, Clinton holds a 2.6-point lead over Trump.

But the race is still close

As of Friday morning, FiveThirtyEight gave Clinton a 67.8% chance of winning the presidency to Trump's 32.1% chance. 

FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver explained in a Thursday blog post that in 2012, the site put President Barack Obama's chances at reelection at 91% in its final election forecast — significantly higher than Clinton's predicted chances. Obama's chances were rated so much higher than Clinton's in the final week because, as Silver explained, "there are far more undecided and third-party voters this year, which could lead to a last-minute swing or a polling error."

Despite the small ups and downs in the polls, there could still be some surprises in store on Election Day.
