International Men's Day is Saturday, a day that will likely coincide with droves of women getting intrauterine devices, or IUDs, in fear of losing their reproductive rights.

International Men's Day exists to promote men's physical and mental health, and this year's theme, according to the website, is "Stop Male Suicide." The mission is undoubtedly important, but setting aside a day dedicated exclusively to men as women fear their new administration will strip them of reproductive rights is met with some distaste.

And the celebration of men contrasted with women's concerns — such as the threat of the Trump administration defunding Planned Parenthood and eliminating low-cost birth control options — has not been lost on Twitter.
