Two and a half years, two children and countless headlines after their multi-million-dollar wedding, Kim Kardashian West and Kayne West may be parting ways. The reality TV star and business mogul is considering separating from her husband, according to Us Weekly

The news comes following an eventful year for both husband and wife. In October, Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint while visiting Paris for Fashion Week, after which West cut a performance short to rush to her side. As Kardashian West recovered from the reportedly traumatizing experience, her notoriously public family took a break from social media

West has also been making headlines, giving polarizing speeches about Donald Trump and Jay-Z on his "Saint Pablo" tour before canceling the remainder of it. He also made headlines for his controversial Twitter rants. In November, West was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center's Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital for nine days, due to "temporary psychosis," according to his physician Michael Farzam. He is now receiving outpatient treatment.

Kardashian West and West are parents to 3-year-old North and 1-year-old Saint, and, the source told Us Weekly, Kardashian West "is being very protective and doesn't want Kayne around the kids right now."

Kim Kardashian West has been married twice before: to music producer Damon Thomas and basketball pro Kris Humphries.

Rumors of marriage troubles had circulated before, which Kardashian West rebuffed. The Kardashian insider says she won't make any decisions until West is fully recovered and is "being a supportive wife."
