Critics' Choice Awards 2017 nominations: The nominees for the 22nd annual awards show
Before the Oscars — or even the Golden Globes — select the best films of the year, there are the Critics' Choice Awards. This year's film nominees were officially announced on Dec. 1, and the television nominees were announced in November. Below you'll a list of the main categories before the ceremony airs on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. Eastern on A&E.
Leading the film nominees with 12 nominations is La La Land, the musical comedy film starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea follow. In TV, HBO snagged 22 nominations for its shows, but the most nominated series goes to The People v. O.J. Simpson.
"This year's nominees showcase the best that Hollywood has to offer, spanning a wide array of genres, subject matters, time periods, and more," said Broadcast Film Critics Association President Joey Berlin said.
Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller will host. Below are the films and televisions series nominated.
