The 2017 Golden Globe nominations are here, and it's proven to be a good Monday morning for many Oscar hopefuls across the board.

La La Land scored a strong seven nominations, including for best picture, musical or comedy, and nods for lead performers Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Moonlight also continued its early awards season dominance, with six nods (including for supporting actors Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris).

On the TV side, Netflix's The Crown earned a good deal of love on the drama side, while Atlanta and Black-ish both did well in the comedy or musical categories. Last year's winner, Mozart in the Jungle, is up for best TV series, comedy or musical once again.

Don Cheadle, Laura Dern and Anna Kendrick took to Facebook Live Monday to announce the first batch of Golden Globe nominees in both film and television categories. The 74th annual Golden Globe Awards will air Jan. 8, 2017.
