With Christmas right around the corner, it's the perfect time to start thinking about your favorite holiday traditions. For many, this includes watching (and rewatching) A Charlie Brown Christmas, the classic holiday special based on the Peanuts comics by Charles. M. Schultz.

A Charlie Brown Christmas first aired in 1965, and the special — digitally-remastered for viewers today — sees Charlie, jaded by the materialistic culture surrounding the holiday, decide to become the director of his school's Christmas Pageant.

So where and when can you see if Charlie's efforts are successful?

A Charlie Brown Christmas is available to stream on the ABC site and will air live on the network on Thursday, Dec. 22, at 8 p.m Eastern.
