Coachella Lineup 2017 Announced: Full list of who's performing both weekends

Culture

Another year, another Coachella. The annual two-weekend California festival announced its 2017 lineup Tuesday via Twitter, officially kicking off 2017's festival season. Two of the three coveted headlining spots are going to two festival mainstays, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar — while the third goes to one of 2016's most controversial and groundbreaking artists: Beyoncé.

Additionally, the festival will feature Lorde's first full major performance since November 2014, according to Pitchfork, and the Avalanches' first show on U.S. soil in a decade and a half. The xx, Father John Misty, Bon Iver, Martin Garrix, Travis Scott, Future, Gucci Mane, DJ Khaled and Justice fill some of the bigger slots in the lineup.

The shows will take place in their usual mid-April window at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California; the first weekend is set for April 14, 15 and 16 and the second for April 21, 22 and 23. According to a press release, festival passes for both weekends will go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. Pacific (2 p.m. Eastern).

Coachella's lineup usually sets the standard for who festival-goers can expect to see during a given season. The rest of the summer's big festivals — including Bonnaroo, Firefly, Osheaga, Governor's Ball and Lollapalooza — usually gather similar lineups, as bands make their way from stop to stop along the festival circuit.

With Beyoncé and Radiohead leading the festivities, this year's Coachella is bound to be supremely lit.
